Overview
Kelsi Sorrells, a Fort Worth native, is an attorney in our Fort Worth office, focusing her practice on construction transactions and litigation. She assists clients with a wide range of contractual matters, providing diligent and insightful counsel to facilitate successful project outcomes. Kelsi is committed to understanding her clients’ unique needs and working collaboratively to achieve their objectives within the complex landscape of construction law.
Kelsi earned her Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2024. As a law student, Kelsi concentrated her legal studies in and around transactional and property law, serving as the Vice President of the Texas A&M Real Estate Law Society and assisting with the compilation of a comprehensive guide to the water law of all 50 states.
Outside of work, Kelsi enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her husband and their dog.
- Drafted various documents related to property rights including easements, lease amendments, and notices of lease termination.
- Drafted and revised commercial and residential construction contracts on behalf of clients, including AIA standardized contracts.
- Reviewed and analyzed construction contracts to determine client’s rights and remedies.
- Analyzed statutory and constitutional mechanic’s lien rights.
- Provided clients with guidance on business matters, including matters of business formation and intellectual property rights.
